Our Story

Fabric in Rolls

In the UK alone we produce over 200,000 tonnes of textile waste each year, and shockingly around 30% of clothes made are actually never sold and often end up going directly to landfills. The textile industry has created a catastrophic footprint on our planet and has become the second most polluting industry in the world. .

After over a decade of working with a wide variety of luxury brands, fast fashion retailers and suppliers, I realised I could do more in creating a sustainable platform, where fashion could still be celebrated, trends followed and clothes loved.

By utilising the surplus and potential waste that the fashion industry as well as other industries using textiles are creating, we can do our part to close the gap and create a more circular fashion option.

Cutting Fabric

All of the fabrics used by Lily and Ro have been rescued from the fashion industry and other industries waste, including textile, fashion, film and more.

All with a different story, some were fabric hangers sent by mills to various suppliers in the hope of selling their fabric, most of which are no larger than 30x30cm, these are utilised to help create our beautiful one of a kind hair scrunchies.

Some were originally sampling ordered for a brand and leftover from the sample process, we are lucky enough to have saved a few metres here and there, making up some super cute kids clothing.

And if we are really lucky, we manage to save fabric left over from an excess during production, perfect for making our womenswear.
